Only a stones throw away from the Dakota where Lennon lived and ultimately died, people still come in droves to Strawberry Fields to celebrate the life of the man that played a major part in scoring the soundtrack to their lives. Every year on Lennon’s birthday, impromptu concerts of all of his music are performed. I was fortunate this year to watch this with my own eyes and feel the great positivity eminating from the 100 or so people who were in attendance.
Some people commented on seeing Lennon with their own eyes, others were introducing their children to music that was ahead of its time and remains as relevant today as it was when it was created.
