DAK’s opinion on the iPhone 5’s durability

Apple touts its iPhone 5 as a scientific marvel in its commercials, how can something get bigger and smaller:

They promote how thin the phone is yet as far as I can tell its a magnet for being scratched and dinged and from what I hear it won’t withstand a fall other phones would survive. What’s the point of making such a thin phone if its begging for a case to be put on it to save your investment and increasing the thickness significantly?

Tiered pricing on videogames must happen.

bd-630x328-family-gaming-630wI am a big videogamer, it’s one of my biggest passions and I take it very seriously as a hobby but also someone who is interested in the business side of the industry. Since I see it both ways, I have a lot of opinions that I like to think have the best interest of the gamer as well as the publisher in mind. With this preface, there is a major issue with videogames lately that I wish was addressed and that is the rising cost of videogames combined with the polarizing impact of the single/multi player market.

I’m taking a break from Facebook, well, sorta. *UPDATE*

*UPDATE*
Oh well, that lasted a few months but like all good things, this break too must come to an end.

I’ve been using the Internet for close to 20 years now and I’ve seen a lot of fad sites go up and down almost before you can register a username.  Facebook somehow has bucked that trend and not only ramped up it’s audience and traffic over the years, but it shows no sign of slowing down even after crossing the 500 million user mark.

Facebook is the most amazing system ever created to keep in touch with your social circle and discover new ones.  You can reconnect and rediscover people, places, and things.  The usability of the site is almost second to none.  Seasoned veterans on the Internet can use this site along with their moms and dads and grandparents.  This site truly has changed us as a people and the Internet will never be the same again.  With that being said, I’ve decided to stop interacting with it for a indeterminate amount of time.

Why you might ask?  Read on, I’ll explain.
